Welcome to the Pollys Club.
The Pollys is a non-profit organisation which raises funds for
Sydney's gay charities. We are the oldest gay social group still
operating in Australia, having celebrated our 43rd birthday in July
2007. The history of the Pollys can be viewed in About
Us, in the menu system above.
The purpose of this website is to:
- broadcast messages about our functions,
- to receive feedback, and
- book tickets for upcoming dances.
We conduct approximately six functions
per year. These functions/dances are relaxed, safe and a lot of fun
with an eclectic age group and mix of music. A feature of the evening
is our fun drag shows and we attract up to 500 patrons at each dance.

Information for Organisations wishing
to conduct raffles at Pollys dances
Pollys considers "applications to conduct a raffle"
from community organisations on a yearly basis. The following points are
considered vital for an application to be successful.
- The Organisation should be a legal entity such
as an Incorporated Association
- They should be recognized as “Not for Profit”
- They should have non-discrimination policies
enshrined in their Articles of Association
- They should have an established presence within
the Community at large or the Gay and Lesbian Community in particular.
- They should nominate the manner in which the
funds raised would be expended and be willing to provide proof of that
expenditure if requested.
